The Friction You Already Know
If you run online or hybrid music lessons, you’ve probably fought at least some of these:
Audio that compresses and cuts frequencies → students miss tone color, overtones, articulation details they need to improve.
One camera angle → constant “can you move the camera to your hands / bow / keys again?”
Metronome in one tab, sheet music PDF in another, backing track in a third → flow breaks every 2 minutes.
Students (or parents) eventually say “online just doesn’t feel the same” → they quietly cancel.
These aren’t teacher or student errors. They're what happens when you teach music on a platform built for meetings.
